The race director (Jeremy) and his lovely wife worked hard to put on a great event. They were SO encouraging, sweet, friendly and helpful, and I was so impressed that they cheered me on by name after each finish. That meant a lot to a first timer! One or both were always there at the start/ finish with a smile to tell you "Great job!" . Event was very well organized. Trails were nicely marked and a good loop of a mix of grassy fields, woods, roots, some mud, gravel roads, and a few "Lord have mercy!" hilly parts to keep you challenged. Everything ran like a well oiled machine. If you've never done one of these events, you are missing out. It is sure to be one of your favorites!
